We earnestly recommend you to close all Internet Explorer
windows before the AimAtSite installation. Then run AimAtSite.exe to start the
installation procedure and follow instructions displayed on your screen.
We do not recommend to uncheck the "See the ReadMe File" option in
the final installation wizard screen. Read Me file will be opened in IE and will
automatically switch the toolbar on.

History Search
To search history the only thing you have to do is to type a search term in
the AimAtSite combo-box and press the Enter key or click the History button.
Note: Do not be worried if at the first moment after AimAtSite installation
you have received no results. Indexing Service does not index visited pages
immediately, it is a background process and it usually takes several minutes
for newly visited pages. The page index begins to grow at the moment you install AimAtSite, so the number of received results will
increase day after day.

Favorites Search
To search favorites, enter a query in the AimAtSite combo-box and press
the Shift+Enter key or click the Favorites button.
Favorites search as well as History search uses content indexing and
requires that pages had been loaded in your computer before it can search them.
Online search
The Online button opens the drop-down menu with the list of
search engines, online dictionaries, encyclopedias and other Web search sites.
Click on one of them and you will open the selected site search result
page with results matching the query entered in the combo-box.
Current page search
The This Page button searches the current loaded page for a phrase
entered
in the toolbar combo-box. Words or phrases are
being searched from the top to the bottom of the page. When there are no
more specified words, the message "Finished searching the page"
appears in the Internet Explorer status bar.
Words highlighting
The Highlight button highlights words you entered in the AimAtSite combo-box
on the current page. Each occurrence of every word of a phrase you entered
will be highlighted on the page.
Tools
The AimAtSite Logo button (the leftmost button on the toolbar) provides access to various auxiliary
resources of AimAtSite such as: help topics, online help (this page), query
language help (link to Microsoft's "making query" articles of the
Indexing Service help), registration (see below) and options. You can change program settings in the
Options
dialog. Click AimAtSite Logo to access the drop-down menu, then click
Options to open the Options dialog. Options dialog has two tabs, the General tab
and the Sites tab.

In the General tab you can select
a sorting option, set a maximum number of results and number of results that
will be displayed on each result page.
Moreover the General tab gives you the possibility to choose an option to
index partly downloaded pages and to clear or truncate the cache of visited Web pages.
By default AimAtSite stores only complete downloaded pages. This case
warrants that all page content will be indexed properly. But if your
style is quick surfing the Index Partially Downloaded Pages option can be
more suitable for you.

The Sites tab allows you to extend the Online drop-down menu by checking
on sites listed in the box at the left. This dialog allows to import site
lists from a file. An important features set is available for registered
users. They can add/remove sites to/from the list of available sites and to
export a changed site
list to a file. These actions can be performed both by buttons on the
right side of the tab and by the context menu opened on the Site list by a Right mouse button
click.
To add a site click the New Site button in the Sites tab. You will see
the Site Properties dialog.

Type any name in the Name field to refer to a search site you would
like to add. Then enter the appropriate URL Template for this site. URL
Template is the URL of the site search results page for any search term
where this search term is replaced by %%% characters.
For example: if the URL to search Google for the
AimAtSite word is
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=aimatsite
you should type
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%%%
in URL field.
It is possible to hide or show the AimAtSite toolbar (like
other Internet Explorer toolbars). To do that go to View->Toolbars on the
Internet Explorer menu and click AimAtSite.
Click the AimAtSite Logo button to open the drop-down menu, then
click Registration to open the Registration dialog. Click Buy Now and you will be directed to our registration Web page.
When you have purchased a user license you will immediately receive a confirmation message
with your personal registration code. Please type the registration code in the
Registration Code box exactly as it is shown in the confirmation message and
click the Register button.

Q. After the AimAtSite installation AimAtSite Toolbar has not appeared
among other IE toolbars. AimAtSite is displayed and switched on in the IE
View->Toolbar menu. What should I do?
A. It is an annoying unstable bug in IE. You should switch AimAtSite off
and switch it on again and it will be displayed.
Q. After the AimAtSite installation
AimAtSite Toolbar has not appeared among other IE toolbars.
AimAtSite is not displayed in the View->Toolbar menu. What does it mean?
A. The most probable reason is that third-party browser extensions
is disabled in your Internet Explorer. To enable it go to Tools->Internet
Options on the browser menu and switch on "Enable third-party browser
extensions" in the Advanced tab.
