AimAtSite IE Toolbar Features
AimAtSite is a search toolbar add-on for
Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 5.0 or higher. It provides the
following features: History search, Favorites search, Current page search,
Words highlighting
and Online search.
Based on Microsoft Indexing Service AimAtSite IE Toolbar creates index of all
Web pages that you are visiting. Then AimAtSite requests this index
for the pages you
need. After making a query you almost immediately receive a result list
which contains pages addresses, titles and its short abstracts. You can
sort this list whether by rank or title or date of visit. You can form simple queries
(just one or a few words) or with the help of the Indexing Service query
language you can form queries of any level of complexity. You can choose
options to search among all visited pages (History search) or among the pages
included in your favorites list (Favorites search).
Internet Explorer integrates the History search feature. Our product
gives you significantly improved tools. Using the power of Indexing
Service AimAtSite IE Toolbar provides better performance, ranking, meaningful
abstract of each page and flexible queries. No favorites search feature is available in the
Internet Explorer.
Another function provided is Current page search. It is an improved analog of the
similar Internet Explorer feature.
Words highlighting. You can highlight each word entered in the toolbar on the
current page.
Online search. With this feature you can query popular search
engines, dictionaries and other online search services directly from our
IE toolbar. More than 100 links to the most popular search sites are available in
the toolbar including: Google, AltaVista, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary,
MSN Encarta Online Encyclopedia, Columbia Encyclopedia, BBC News,
Ask Jeeves, MSN Search, Yahoo, Cambridge Online Dictionary, WordReference.com dictionaries for English, French, Spanish, German and Italian languages,
InfoPlease Encyclopedia and Almanacs etc. Moreover you can add links to your favorite sites to the provided list.
AimAtSite IE Toolbar uses its own cache of visited pages. It is not the
IE Temporary Internet files. AimAtSite cache does not store graphics so it
is more compact and more effective for indexing. Any actions upon the
AimAtSite cache do not affect the IE cache. You can manage these caches
independently. But this feature causes a limitation. History search and
Favorites search can find only pages that you have visited after the
program installation.
You can download AimAtSite
IE Toolbar and begin to use it right now!
